Mutiny Mojito

Premium rum deserves a premium recipe to go with it. Which is why here at Revenge Rum we’re bringing you the best cocktails by some of the best local cocktail connoisseurs in town! All summer long we have been sharing cocktails made and presented by Vincent Toscano whom some of you might recognize from 215 Speakeasy!

Vincent specializes in his own creative twist on craft cocktails. He can be found most nights managing the bar of popular Palm Beach restaurant Buccan! When it comes to a great cocktail he certainly knows what he’s doing behind the bar. Which is why we decided to bring in the big cannons to help our rum lovers drink the cocktails they deserve. The Mutiny Mojito is a pirates tropical twist on your traditional Mojito. Think fresh ingredients combined with the smooth taste of Revenge Rum. It doesn’t get any better than this.

Weigh Anchor, It’s Time to Set Sail!

Ahoy! All buccaneers are welcome to try this drink at home in fact it’s high encouraged. The Mutiny Mojito is going to be the perfect addition to your next get together. Rum lovers you will not be disappointed with this delightful drink. Now, shake off those sea legs and let’s get started. You can thank us later!

First we start off by picking 5 mint leaves, giving them a nice slap, and adding them to our cocktail shaker along with some ice. Slapping the leave brings out the natural flavors more before shaking. Then proceed with your fresh lime juice and honey. We’re going to be switching out sugar for local Florida honey in this recipe to add more of a natural sweetness to the drink.

Next, cut a passionfruit in half and add the fruit to your shaker. We always save the best ingredient for last.. now you can finally measure out your Revenge Rum and add it to the glass.

Add the top to the shaker and give it a nice shake to blend all of our flavors together.

Once you’re done shaking the drink pour into a tall collins glass. The glass will be about halfway full so make sure to top the glass off with some more ice.

Top off your cocktail with some club soda so we can get the bubbly going! Now that we’re done with the drink, it’s time to get fancy with our garnish. Remember sailors this is always optional feel free to go all out or keep it simple.

Bitters add some extra flavor as well as color to the drink. Go around the top layer of your drink with around 5-6 drops of bitters.

Next, peel one of your leftover limes into a long thin strip and wrap the peel around the straw. You can also twist some of the juice from the peel over the top of the drink for additional zest!

Lastly, grab a bunch of mint leaves and arrange on the rim of the glass.

You should be left with something that looks like this! Great job mateys!
